Maputo, Mozambique

Maputo is the capital and largest city of Mozambique with almost 2 million habitants. It is known as the City of Acacias in reference to acasia trees commonly found along its avenues and the Pearl of the Indian Ocean. It was famous for the inscription "This is Portugal" on the walkway of its municipal building. Today, it is a port city on the Indian Ocean, with its economy centered around the harbour.
Country and city are still recovering from war over 20 years back. A lot of constructions are being build, maintenance is improving, houses are getting new paint. But still many of the buildings look abandoned.
Roman Catholic Cathedral. Huge white church.
Mosque

Fortress of Maputo reminds of the time of war.
Xipamaneni fish market, where you choose from fresh fish..
...and the restaurants prepare meal for you.
All the street sellers are real masters of selling.
 Beautiful beach, soft sand, sunset...
The biggest pizza I have ever seen.
A real flea market, where it is possible to find everything. Less modern shopping mall. Not too clean either.
